reading period for the 2002 Richard Yates competition is from August
15 through December 31 (EXTENDED!). Stories from 2500-7000 words. Independently
judged by DeWitt Henry. Awards include cash and publication in Night
Trains second issue, which will come out in the Spring of
2003. The editors here have always admired the work of Richard Yates.
Naming this competition after him is done so to honor his memory. The results are in!
